Frequently Asked Questions

Handle With Care!

Proper DVD care and handling is important to ensure proper playback and a long life.

  • Handle with care, making contact only with the center hole and the outside edge of the disc. Avoid scratching the disc or leaving fingerprints on the surface.
  • When removing a DVD, always press the center hub down with one hand while gently lifting the disc at its outer edge with the other hand.
  • Clean with a damp, lint-free, non-abrasive cloth using straight wiping motions from the inside hole to the outer edge.
  • Store discs inside cases when not in use and keep away from extreme heat or direct sun.
  • If playing problems should occur, remove disc from player, check to see it was properly inserted, clean as directed and try again.
Why won't my DVD play in my DVD player?
Unlike a Hollywood movie that is pressed in a large factory, MVP DVDs are burned using recordable DVD-R media on a desktop computer. This can result in problems in a very small number of DVD players. More information on compatibility problems can be found at DVD Demystified.
Do you offer events in VHS format?
We would rather use the higher-quality DVD format, but we can provide events on VHS as a special request.
Can I make copies of an MVP event and give them to friends and family?
MVP events are copyrighted.
What do I do if I have a defective DVD that won't play?
DVDs can be exchanged for another copy if they will not play in your machine.
